Designed for mini spoil board surfacing, rabbeting, fly cutting, slab levelling, and surface planing, the solid carbide router cutter features a 2+2 insert knife design with two cutting flutes and two up-shear scorers. The design provides a smoother finish at the bottom of the cut compared to traditional two-knife style router bits, as well as better clearance for 90° corners. These cutters have use solid carbide insert knives with four cutting edges. For extended tool lifetime, simply rotate the insert when one side becomes dull. It is ideal for a wide range of CNC applications including resurfacing spoil boards, planing large glued-up panels, surfacing and finishing wood using timber slab machines, rabbeting or slotting. This cutter is designed for use with the following materials: MDF Fiberboard HDF/LDF Also able to cut: Balsa Core Epoxy (Epoxy Resins) High Density Urethane (HDU Board) Plastic/Acrylic* Plywood/Chipboard Hardwood/Softwood Ultra-High-Molecular-Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE) * Use lower CNC spindle RPM and adjusted feed-rate to prevent melting and adhesion of the acrylic material to the tool.
