Antex Tip Cleaner

This is a great alternative to the damp sponge method for cleaning your soldering iron tip. It’s quicker, easier and helps prolong the life of the tip. Plunging your soldering iron’s tip into the brass wool filling a few times is all it takes. Unlike the sponge method, this does not require water and so it does not reduce your tip’s temperature. The brass wool is softer than the tip's plating but harder than the oxidation that forms on the tip. Your soldering iron tip comes out clean with a fine solder layer remaining on the tip.
