A Sjobergs Elite cabinetmaker’s bench is the ultimate workstation. Designed and built by Swedish craftsmen using selected European beech throughout. The bench has great mass with its 85mm thick top and 110mm deep apron. The bench top is 1,805mm x 600mm giving plenty of space for larger projects. Double rows of 25.4mm(1") dog holes run along the length and across the width from each vice. The front and end vice open to 145mm and provide enormous clamping power across the bench’s surface. The SM04 beech fronted storage unit features two sets of drawers and a double fronted cupboard. The unit provides space for hand and power tools and ensures everything is close to hand. The Elite 200 comes with four round steel bench dogs which can also be used in the trestle legs. The timber used is kiln dried and treated with a premium finishing oil. If your workshop is not a humidity controlled environment we recommend periodically re-oiling the bench on the top, underside and dog holes. Note: Sjobergs benches are kiln dried to 8% moisture content. If your workshop is not a humidity controlled environment and can exceed 75% air humidity Axminster recommends sealing the bench with 2 or 3 coats of finishing oil on the top, underside and dog holes.
