These spiral-flute bits combine a shearing action for a clean, accurate cut with an augering action for chip clearance. The "down-cut" does as it says and cuts downwards from the surface, providing a clean edge on the material surface. These router bits are manufactured in solid carbide for long tool life, even when used in abrasive material, and feature Amana's specialist Spektra™ coating. The polished flutes and razor sharp cutting edges produce superior results. These bits are primarily for CNC use and are ideal for production settings. They are great for cutting grooves and dado cuts, and are excellent for particleboard, plywood and laminate. This provides longevity and produces cutting results of the highest quality. • Coating prevents high heat and oxidation which is detrimental to cutting tool performance. • Multi-colored hues, while attractive, will dissipate upon use and yet coating will remain fully effective. • nACo offers approximately 4,500 Vickers for impressive solid hardness on cutting areas of the tool, for an increase up to 2.5 times compared to uncoated bits. Note: Blue based color dissipates immediately upon use. nACo® nanocomposite coating will not wear off. Suitable for CNC routing, handheld routers and router tables.
