Axminster Workshop AW305WL Woodturning Lathe - 230V This bench mounted woodturning lathe offers excellent capacity, capabilities and power. The AW305WL has the convenience of variable spindle speed with electronic control. Power comes from a 550W DC motor providing full torque across the speed range. The spindle speed range is from 500 to 4,080rpm, with a choice of two belt ratios. Made almost entirely in cast iron ensuring stability and minimal vibration during operation. The bed of this lathe has a finely ground top surface for smooth tool rest positioning. The spindle nose has a 1" x 8tpi thread and a 2MT taper. The tailstock barrel has a 2MT bore with 50mm of movement and automatic ejection of centres. Quick release levers allow for easy and accurate positioning of tool rest and tailstock. Solid rubber feet help to eliminate vibration. Axminster Woodturning 3 Piece Tool Set A set of three woodturning tools perfect for pen making or similar small projects, all with 82mm HSS blades and 200mm hardwood handles. The set consists of 6.3mm(1/4") deep flute gouge for roughing to size, 12.7mm(1/2") oval skew for fine finishing cuts and 3.2mm(1/8") parting tool for end grain square cuts or sizing. A good value set in a wooden box for storage.
