Clifton 650 Spokeshave - Curved Sole

The 125mm radius curved sole of the Clifton 650 spokeshave makes it the perfect tool for shaping and refining concave surfaces. The body is virtually unbreakable spheroidal graphite/malleable iron, smoothed and polished to a high standard. The 50mm blade is O1 tool steel, cryogenically treated to HRC 59-61 it takes and holds a superb edge. Adjustment for the depth of cut is by a single, easily accessible knurled thumb wheel. As with many other Sheffield made Clifton planes the 650 spokeshave pays homage to designs of Edward Preston. Length 245mm, weight 499g.
