Co-Matic BR500 Edgebander

A portable edgebander is used for applying veneers to straight or curved panel edges in PVC, ABS, laminated and solid woods. The Co-Matic BR500 edgebander is an advanced but simple to use machine and has many patented features not found on any other portable edgebander. Ergonomic and Intuitive Controls Rubber Grips and Metal Support Plate: two rubber grips allow for precise control, while a metal support plate designed to rest on the workpiece, allows for strain-free use. Easy On/Off Switch: the feeder on/off switch is located on top of the primary handle allowing for immediate control of the tool’s operation. Adjustable Glue Pot Handle: the glue pot handle has two positions in case of workpiece interference. Tape Insert Guide: a measured guide in increments of 1mm determines the width of the edge band or edging tape and secures it in place for a regulated feed. Consistent Glue Application: an easy-to-reach knob allows for "on the fly" regulation of glue amount for a mess-free, consistent result. Temperature Control: the Digital Temperature Control system has two modes, Mode 1 giving a range from 80°-155°C, Mode 2 120°-200°C. This allows a huge range of specialist glues to be used for many applications. Variable speed range of 2-6m/min, giving an edge to the control of this edgebander in difficult situations. The speed control is conveniently located in the top of the control handle, making speed adjustment "on the fly" so easy. Edgebanding Made Simple Straight Line and Contour Edgebanding: our portable edgebander is perfect for all varieties and shapes of workpieces. For contoured or curved surfaces, the minimum interior radius is 25mm. No Edgeband Iron or Hot Air Required: the glue is applied directly onto the edgeband or edging tape. Maintain steady pressure on the workpiece against the feeding roller to apply the edgeband or edging tape at desired temperature. Glue-Free Edgebands: by not requiring edgebands or edging tape with pre-applied glue, our portable edgebanders help reduce your costs. Material Compatibility: the tool works with PVC, melamine, laminate, wood and metal edgebands and edge tape of 0.3mm – 3mm thickness and 10mm – 65mm width. Angle Adjustment: this edgebander can operate on tilted surfaces of 75°-90°, making bevelled surfaces as simple as perpendicular ones. Quick to Start: Co-Matic edgebanders need around 7 minutes to warm up from a cold start and no warm-up time if the glue pot is refilled when at half capacity or more during operation. Built to Last: other edgebanders may require cooldown times – not ours. Our machines are strenuously tested for complete peace of mind. Portable and Stationary Use: designed for transportation and space-efficiency, our edgebanders come with a durable and lightweight case. For handheld operation, workpieces can be secured with the optional VH03 Vacuum Clamp Set. For stationary operation, this edgebander can also be secured to our optional ST92A Stationary Worktable depending on your needs. This edgebander is the lightest and easiest to use and maintain of any portable edgebanders. This product has everything that the small or medium scale furniture producer would require to get started at an economical price, including the TK65 Dual End Cutter and a sample glue packs. All items are contained in a storage container, mounted on a wheeled trolley. Another very worthwhile option is the PD 80 Edgeband Trimmer. This is like a small router (and can be used as such) that has a clever height adjustment system and is supplied in a storage case. The finished edges of furniture are critical to the appearance of the product. The BR500 is versatile, accurate and easy to use and is perfect for on-site work or integration into your woodworking workshop. N.B.
