Flexcut FR920 4 Piece Thumbnail Ground Set

These deep gouges are designed with a parabolic curve. They are designed to be rolled up to 90° and change shape from a deep #11 to a smooth #3 in one continuous cut. The thumbnail grind keeps the corners from digging into the wood as the tool is rolled. They come super sharp, so you can start carving right away. The blades are high carbon spring steel fitted to polished Ash handles, shaped for comfort and control. The steel has impressive edge retention, with the tip hardened to HRC 59-61. All Flexcut gouges and carving chisels are ready to use straight out of the box. Regular stropping will keep them in top condition.
