The JSP PowerCap® Infinity®, PAPR (Powered Air-Purifying Respirator) offers high level protection against multiple hazards. It combines TH3 respiratory protection with eye, face and head protection with the option of adding Sonis® ear defenders for hearing protection. All this comes in the form of a fully integrated helmet mounted unit, without the inconvenience of waist belts, lengths of tubing or extra cables. The system uses a powerful, lightweight, battery powered fan to draw air through the filters and then blow clean air down over the user's face. The supplied Li-Ion battery delivers clean filtered air for up to 8 hours on a single battery charge. This positive pressure system allows the user to breathe normally, eliminates misting inside the face shield and accommodates facial hair without any loss in protection. The high capacity HEPA filters coupled with aerodynamically optimised pre-filter covers ensure the PowerCap® Infinity® can deliver 160 litres of clean air per minute. Real time diagnostics monitor the system twice a second. During periods of high respiratory demand the system compensates and maintains a positive pressure inside the respirator. The respirator provides accurate, dynamic feedback on battery and filter condition via a heads-up display and audible notifications. The integrated face shield protects eyes and face from impact, dust and debris while providing a clear wide field of vision. The visor offers impact protection at speeds of up to 270 mph (tested using a 6mm steel ball bearing). The visor has K rated anti-scratch coating and a replaceable peel-off visor protector to prolong its life. PowerCap® Infinity® incorporates the high performance JSP EVO®5 Olympus® industrial safety helmet. One key design element is simple maintenance and cleaning, ensuring the unit delivers the safest and longest possible working life. All parts are easily replaceable, this includes filters, filter covers, visor, peel-off visors, helmet, harness strap, turbo drive unit and carrier, battery pack, visor seal, charging dock, airflow indicator test unit and carry case.
