SCM FS30G Planer Thicknesser with Spiral Block - 230V

From SCM Genius range, the FS30G is aimed at demanding home users and small light trade workshops. Capable of planing up to 300m width and thicknessing up to 200mm deep it fulfils its brief well. The FS30G features robust planing tables of ribbed gray cast iron, milled flat and stress-free. A large, anodised aluminium fence can be tilted up to 45 for chamfering. The thicknessing function has a power feed of 6m/min. This particular version is fitted with a spiral cutting block. The “Xylent” spiral cutter block with its multitude of TC knives produces an exceptional finish. Greatly reducing noise during machining and improving dust extraction due to the very small chips it produces. Each 4-sided cutter can be rotated when dull to a fresh edge. No re-setting required and at least 4 times the life of standard TCT knives.
