Tormek SVX-150 Scissor Jig

The Tormek SVX-150 Scissor Jig is an essential tool for any woodworker looking to restore their old, blunt scissors or shears to a sharper-than-new condition. The setup is straightforward, simply mount your scissors or shears in the holder, which rests securely against the support plate. Then precisely set the sharpening angle to match the existing angle, ensuring minimal material removal each time, regardless of the angle of your scissors or shears. Often, one scissor blade is slightly convex, and sometimes both are. Tormek's patented design allows you to follow the unique shape of each blade, guaranteeing even sharpening along the entire length. The rotation of the grinding wheel presses the scissors against the support plate, allowing you to focus on smoothly moving the scissors across the grinding wheel while maintaining complete control. It's incredibly easy to use and compatible with both Tormek T-4 and Tormek T-8, as well as older models. It works with most types of scissors and shears. Please note that the SVX-150 Scissors Jig is not recommended for hairdressing scissors due to their special geometry. A jig from Tormek for all sizes of scissors, you can even sharpen garden shears. Two clamps hold the blade securely.
