Vallorbe Adjustable Piercing Saw - 75mm Throat

This is a professional tool with a 75mm deep throat and comfortable wooden handle. The blade clamps feature large thumb screws for ease of use. The length adjustment has a knurled locking knob. The maximum blade length it can accommodate is 130mm. For extremely fine work, the piercing saw or jeweller’s bow saw is the best choice. Piercing saw blades themselves are very fine and therefore obviously more prone to breaking. To extend the useful life of the blade, a saw with an adjustable frame can take both full length blades or, by shortening the bow, a section of a broken blade. There are situations where a short blade is an advantage, giving a little more control in cutting fine detail.
