Woodcut Tools Irons Hollowing Tool Holder

Although originally designed for use with Woodcut Tools Pro Forme hollowing tools, the Phil Irons Hollowing Tool Holder works just well with other hollowing and boring tools. The Irons hollowing tool facilitates greater control of the tool compared to a conventional rest. It offers much more versatility. The tool holder can be pivoted to be positioned inside your turning project, reducing the unsupported length of the tool. The main feature is the U-shaped gate that prevents the tool from moving sideways while allowing it to pivot freely for smooth and controlled cuts. The 12mm thick steel rest measures 175mm long x 25mm thick. It features a choice of 6 holes for placing the gate in the best position. Suitable for Woodcut Tools Pro Forme and many other hollowing tools, the single tool rest is designed to support two different sized tools: 16mm and 19mm tool shanks and 22mm and 25mm tool shanks. Note: This is the Irons hollowing tool rest and gate only; it requires the purchase of a suitable Bowl Saver Tool Post to fit your lathe. The Bowl Saver Tool Post screws into the bottom of the hollowing rest and features a stop collar that can be set to the proper height.
