Spoon carving requires just a few tools and the results can be highly decorative or plain and practical. This set from Narex includes three of the most useful spoon carving tools plus a roughly cut blank of European Lime to get you started right away. Lime is easy to carve with hand tools and takes fine detail. The tools include: a Double-edge Hook Knife, which can be used right or left handed, a 20mm Spoon Gouge with a No.6 sweep and a Detail Carving Knife with a 40mm blade. The tools are made of manganese-vanadium steel, refined to a hardened and tempered to 60-62 HRC, and will take and hold an excellent edge. The handles are dyed European beech.
