The design of the Sjobergs 1060 workbench offers a great deal of versatility for woodworkers and craftspeople. It will also make a very useful secondary bench in a larger workshop. The first feature of note is the array of 3/4"(19mm) dog holes. There are 5 rows of 11 holes across the bench top. The first and third rows, along and across align with dog holes in the front and end vices. Coupled with the (19mm) bench dogs that come with the bench this arrangement offers a vast amount of clamping possibilities. The work surface measures 1,060 x 500mm. The vices are 355mm wide opening to 155mm. The entire bench is oiled European beech, with a strong trestle frame forming a stable and durable workbench. The front legs also have 3/4"(19mm) dog holes for dogs or hold-downs when clamping panels or boards. The Sjöbergs range of accessories give this bench even more potential and flexibility. Made in Sweden. Please note, the timber used to build Sjobergs benches is kiln dried to 8% moisture content. If you have an unheated workshop or work in an area with high humidity, seal the bench with a finishing oil (Danish, Tung etc.) on the top, underside and dog holes from time to time.
