This woodturner’s finishing product originates in Yorkshire, where they know a thing or two about True Grit. True Grit is a blend of waxes and oils along with a very fine abrasive. It offers woodturners several benefits. Not least bringing a fine polish to your latest piece of turnery, either as the final finish or the penultimate prior to your chosen final wax finish. Once you have sanded down to 240 grit, apply True Grit with a soft cloth and the buff with the lathe running. True Grit gives an amazing gloss equivalent of 1,000 grit, and all without any airborne dust. As well as a final finish True Grit is highly effective when used to denib and polish a lacquer finish bringing your finished item up to a near mirror gloss. Fine abrasion without fine dust.-bg
