Veritas Steel Honing Plate

Precision ground to a flatness tolerance of 0.127mm (0.005") over the entire surface, this honing plate is an excellent substrate for diamond paste. The dimensionally stable low carbon steel will retain its flatness over a lifetime of ordinary use. The machining process creates a slight texture. This helps to capture diamond grit without compromising overall flatness. In use, the diamond particles readily embed into the softer steel to form a durable, fast-cutting abrasive surface. A dedicated plate for each grit size, should you choose to use more than one, cuts the risk of cross-contamination. Each measures 204 x 76 x 9.5mm and weighs 1.1kg. Made in Canada-bg
